Questions & Answers

I have a senior chihuahua who has lost a number of teeth. She weighs 5 lbs. Do you have a senior kong in x-small?

Answer by

Jun 24, 2018

This KONG Senior toy is only available in a small, medium and large size.

Are all of the Kong toys that you stuff with treats made in China? If so, do you have any similar toys that are not made in China?

Answer by

Apr 19, 2020

KONG plush and non rubber toys are made in China. Toys made in China are designed and tested in the US.

I have a 15 pound senior dog. Would a medium Kong be too big for her? It seems like I can't get much in the small one we have.

Answer by

Nov 04, 2019

(Video) Kong Senior Dog Toys at BaxterBoo.com

The Small measures 3 inches and is suitable for pets up to 20 pounds, Medium measures 3.4 inches and is suitable for pets 15 to 35 pounds and the Large measures 4.1 inches and is suitable for pets 30 to 65 pounds. For pets between sizes or that are strong chewers, it is appropriate to size up.

Is this safe to put in the freezer (like to freeze some yogurt or peanut butter in it)?

Answer by

Aug 17, 2021

This toy can be frozen for a longer-lasting challenge.

Classic kong!

Love that this kong is noticeably squishier than the standard red variety. My dogs not even a senior, i just love this just bc you can stuff more treats inside due to the extra give! Mind you she doesn’t chew on her kongs at all and isn’t exactly a power chewer so this works for us :)

Great for toothless dogs!

I have a 16yr old beagle/dachshund mix with no teeth who loves this. It's not quite soft enough for her to chew on (well, gum on LOL - she uses it like an anteater instead) but the softness does make it easier to fill than other Kong/treat stuffer toys.

Great for Seniors!

So happy I found this Kong online. It’s perfect for my older dogs. One of them doesn’t have any teeth and he still loves it because it’s softer then the regular Kong. Highly recommend!

Just the right bite

Our senior dog was having problems with chewing her favorite chew toy due to dental issues. Since she had a fit every time we took it from her, I ordered a "senior" Kong. Much softer and she is able to enjoy it without causing pain or further dental issues.

My dog chewed this to shreds within 1hr. I don't know if this was a defective product or not because I had ordered 2 and the other 1 seems to be ok

Perfect chew

Our 6-year old Bernese thoroughly enjoys this to hold her elk antler. Strong enough yet soft for her older chewing habit.
